Top Trainer John Lyons to attend Queen Creek Expo in Support of Rett Syndrome!
John supports Rett Syndrome Awareness Event
John Lyons, one of the most respected horse trainers in the world, will bring his expertise to the third annual Queen Creek Horse Expo in support of Rett Syndrome, a disorder of the nervous system that leads to developmental reversals, especially in the areas of expressive language and hand use. Lyons, who is known as "America's Most Trusted Horseman," earned the title after more than 29 years of dedication to horses and horse owners. His ideas and concepts in horse training have influenced every level of performance, style of riding and breed of horse internationally. Lyons' regard for people and the horses they love has remained unchanged throughout his career.
Lyons' granddaughter Charli suffers from Rett Syndrome.
"I want to do what I can to raise awareness of this disease in hopes that a cure can be found during Charli's life," says John Lyons. "What these children deal with is extremely difficult, but I have such a huge amount of respect for Brandi and the other parents and how they handle this siutation. We need to support these children, but we also need to support these parents"
As part of a nationwide Rett Awareness event called Raise to the Top, Lyons will carry his granddaughter to the top of the Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Center in Queen Creek to demonstrate that every Rett child deserves to make it to the top no matter how difficult the climb may be.
The Queen Creek Horse Expo will be held on October 15, 2011 from 8AM to 5 PM at the Horse Shoe Park and Equestrian Centre in Queen Creek, which is located at 20464 East Riggs Road in Queen Creek, Ariz. Tickets are available on this website.
